Student Success Story: From Hair Loss and Hard to Manage Hair to Shiny, Healthy Hair with Movement and Style!

Welcome to our latest Student Success Story! Today we are celebrating Lucy* who joined The 14 Day Challenge suffering with hair loss! Read her story here:


What hair problems did you struggle with before you joined the 14 Day Challenge?

Before the challenge I felt like I could never have hair that I would feel good about. I was losing so much hair, just by running my hands through it. It was scary. My scalp would get oily so fast and my ends super dry and brittle. I always felt uncomfortable about my hair.



What made you decide to join? Do you remember the particular moment when you made the decision to do this for yourself?

I saw Sarah’s hair and what she was able to accomplish. I was skeptical and doubted that I could ever accomplish anything similar, but I was desperate and wanted to try. I do remember the moment when I purchased the 14 day challenge. I was very grateful that the price was very reasonable. I promised myself that I would give it my best shot.



What results have you seen since implementing the learnings?

Just by stopping some of my products with bad ingredients I saw an immediate change in my hair. I was shocked to see my hair texture change from straight and dull to wavy - what I used to have when I was a kid. By putting into practice the advice learned my whole body began to feel healthier and more energetic. The results definitely gave me hope and made me realize that improvement was easier and more achievable than I had imagined. I was so impressed that I then decided to make the commitment and enroll in the full Hair Growth Lab program so that I could further my learnings and improvement. I didn’t think that I could do it on my own, and I needed the support of the whole “team” if I was going to really reach my goals.


What areas of  the 14 Day Challenge  made the biggest difference for you? How did it feel having a community to be part of?

Having a community definitely made me feel understood and that I wasn’t alone. So many others had the same issues as me. Seeing how other students reached their hair goals made me believe in myself more and that I could do the same. It’s hard to pick one thing that made the biggest difference in me. I appreciate all that I’m learning and I see how every component plays a part in healthier hair and body. Determination and regularity are definitely the things that make the results happen faster.



What is the next goal/milestone you would like to reach with your hair?

After 4 months I now see my hair texture has completely changed. My scalp is less oily. I can stretch out my wash days further apart. My ends are not dry and dull anymore. My hair looks shiny and healthy. My hair doesn’t need styling, it just naturally looks like it has movement and style without me doing anything to it. I definitely feel I like my hair again, after many many years. I see a lot more new hair on my scalp, and it feels like I have more hair. My new goal is to continue eating healthy so that my new hair grown stronger and fuller. I am also working on protecting my ends so that I don’t get as many split ends and I can one day have the long hair I dream of. I’m really grateful for Hair Growth Lab that has taught me how to take care of myself better. My overall body is much healthier as a result, and my mental perspective is much more positive and hopeful.


It is fascinating to see how far Lucy* has come since doing the challenge! She has been able to achieve a healthier scalp and hair that is shinier, stronger and fuller in density. Her progress proves how much you can improve your hair by levelling up your lifestyle and hair care routine by making better choices for your body!
